Tool #9: Incorporating Classroom-Based Devices as Tools for Learning

  1. Technology is a part of everyone's life, everyday.  Educators must embrace these technological changes in the way we teach and facilitate learning. As this technology is part of the student's everyday life as well, we must incorporate it in their learning as part of the lesson objective so it is meaningful and relevant.
  2. Students should be held accountable in the classroom. When we hold kids accountable for their learning we help the students take ownership of it..
  3. I currently have one I Pad and several very old computers which I have students use use as often as I can to create projects and  access a variety of sites that facilitate learning.I am looking forward to having several Notebooks in my class.I am currently having students create wordles, and use to create cartoons as part of a visual presentation in both sociology and IPET. 4. I think the I Pad/I Touch could be used interactively when students are working together and creating a project or editing each other's work.
